Eagles Meadow shopping centre in Wrexham announces Odeon, Next and H&M taking it to 70% let.
The list of lettings for Wilson Bowden Developments scheme in Wrexham; Eagles Meadow, is growing, now reading as an impressive list of key retail and leisure operators.
The latest signings for the 400,000 sq ft shopping and leisure centre development central to Wrexham announced this week include; Next, H & M and an Odeon 8 screen multiplex.
Next have committed to a 30,000 sq ft store which comprises two trading levels which will significantly increase the size of their market share in Wrexham.
H&M, like anchor store operator Debenhams, are a new name to Wrexham, the Swedish fashion retailer have committed to an 18,000 sq ft unit and will also trade over 2 levels.
Odeon are relocating to Eagles Meadow from Plas Coch retail and leisure park in Wrexham and will join Tenpins’ 24 lane bowling alley as the second leisure anchor to Eagles Meadow.
Commenting on their recent signing, Ken Taylor, Property Development Director at Odeon said;
“Eagles Meadow has provided an ideal opportunity for us. Relocating to Eagles Meadow from our current location on the outskirts of the town brings us closer to the centre of the town and the synergy benefits of adjacent retail and leisure operators. It also gives us wider customer accessibility to the cinema enhanced by the 1,000 space car park within the development”.
David Wilford, Development Manager for Wilson Bowden Developments said;
“ We are delighted to have secured a second leisure anchor for Eagles Meadow. The signing of both Tenpin and Odeon will serve to boost Wrexham’s evening economy. We are currently in negotiations with a number of other operators for the restaurant units within the development”.
The construction of Eagles Meadow is well progressed with an opening scheduled for Autumn 2008. Other confirmed lettings include; Debenhams (90,000 sq ft), Tenpin 24 lane bowling alley and Marks and Spencers (55,000 sq ft)
